Grass hopper tennis

WALT: improve our small ball skills like catching, throwing, and hitting.

Description: We have been participating in a tennis programme with Big John (John Salisbury) from Tennis Manawatu. He has taught us some tennis skills that help with controlling and hitting the ball
Why? To reflect on how we are going with the tennis skills we have learnt. We will share this during our Student Led Conference.

1. What are you most proud of and why?Im most proud of my popcorn because I do not drop my popcorn much
2. What challenged you the most and Why?slice the cheese because it is hard when you have to it the ball on the edge of your racket

I made these Syllables in my day book and I had to take my time and I did and I made these Syllables.

Discription:this is my Syllables that I did this by my self and it was hard work.
Why:I did this because I want people to know 1 word or more in 1 to 5 Syllables.
How:How I did this was I took a photo and stick the on and I did it in my day book and I did a little bit of research on the 4 Syllable.
What:what I did was I did some Syllables that go to 1 to 5 and it might help you.
Evaluation:I think I did pretty on my reading but I think I could do better.

Integrity movie

We did this movie showing intergrity and we tried really hard on it. The first time we did kohtangitanga and then we changed it to this so have a look.
WALT:show intergrity. 
Discription:it was fun doing the movie and it was hard work.
What:it is a video on YouTube and we put it on our blogs when we finish it.
Why:I did this because I want people showing intergrity and people doing the right thing.
Evaluation:I think we did pretty good but I think we can do better on the movie and storyboard.
Feedback/Feedford:I think you did pretty good on your writing.
but I say you need to work on your movie#Adam.

Kahoot challenge

On Monday and Friday we do a challenge called Kahoot. On Friday we made a account. You can play Kahoot to but if you want to make one you need to use this website. and you make an account. If you want to play you can use or and play. We love playing  Kahoot because it's really fun. If your hosting a Kahoot you don't play but if your playing a Kahoot you have to awnser the quistion. You should host or play Kahoot for your self.

Description:we love using Kahoot we like playing Kahoot at home
You are to make a 10 question Kahoot! quiz with 4 multi choice answers for each question. You can make this with a buddy if you choose to, but no more than two in a group.

Go to and go up the top to Get my free account. Select I’m a student 16 or under and fill in your correct details.

Your Kahoot! must have:

My writing of radiation

Hi my name is Houston. Today I'm talking about radiation. Radiation is something that is not my foot, my arm, my leg, my knee, even not my face. Radiation is something like a mexican wave. Radiation is something that is not a mexican wave it's a heat wave. For an example... from the sun and heaters but just look at these pictures and find out. Heat waves give heat to people and keep people warm. You don't need to touch the heater or the sun, you can feel the heat coming to you.
This picture is the sun.

Description:what I'm learning about energy is does it come faster or slower.
What: what I have done was I did some writing in my writing book and then copy it on my iPad.
Why: I did this because I want people to know what energy does so they know.
Evaluation: I think I did pretty good but I should put more detail in my pictures.
Feedback/feedford: I like you drawing about how does heat waves get from the sun and heaters to you. Maybe next time you could crop the photo to make it look more better#Nathanael

DESCRIPTION: Each week we have been learning about a different type of energy.  For example, States of Matter, Kinetic and Potential, Radiation, Conduction and Convection.

Gathering Data

I can gather information using my 5 senses

Task: Make a video (no longer than 30 seconds) about on example of   
energy. i.e. States of matter, Potential and Kinetic energy, Newtons Cradle or forms of energy like Radiation, Convection, Conduction.

What makes a good video:
- clear voices
- different camera angles
- Still camera skills
- mute background noise
- mixture of still and moving images
- background distractions
- music

What makes a good poster:
- clear writing
- detail
- images
- interactive
Evaluation: I think I did well at the picture  because Ryan and I did it neet so Next time we will do better

This is what a mnemonic is but this will help u with your with some words and it helped us.





WALT: We are learning to rote learn (learn off by heart).

Purpose: We are making mnemonics to help us learn our spelling words.
How I did this was I used my spelling words and make them in a word.why did I do this because I want people to get smarter and get better at their words

Process:  We made sentences out of our spelling words to help us remember how to spell each word.  We want to get 10/10.  If we make them funny it helps us to remember them.

Learning:  We learnt what mnemonics are and how they can help us.  

Evaluation:I think I didn't do that good but I should be better at this.

Maths sample

WALT solve problems by making equal shares.
Success Criteria: We will know we are successful when we can solve the problem by first predicting that 12÷ 2 = 
- 6 + 6 = 12 or
- 2 x 6 = 12
- I know that ÷ means "divided by" or "shared equally"
How I did it was I used showme and break some circles up and find out the answer
What I did was doing some Maths using plus,minis,times and divid.divid took a really long time
I did it because I want people to br really smart and be really good at Maths
I think I did a little good but I think I can do better for the size
